Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, You could have possibly injured some intraarticular (within the joint) structure in your knee joint (propably meniscus or cruciate ligament) due to fall which has resulted in hemarthrosis /effusion. If it is still persisting after 3 weeks, you need to undergo investigations like plain xray knee joint / MRI scan to rule out meniscal and ligamentous injury. Its better to consult an orthosurgeon and take his advice. Good luck
