I have a swollen ankle and before the ankle got swollen there was a red rash in my leg which felt painful as if I had hit the leg and got a bruise in it but I had not so I do not know from where I got it now. It is only on my right foot. I can walk well and it has become better after having rested slept overnight and I put some olive oil containing cream on the red part of the leg and arnika ointment on the ankle. Hi welcome to Health care magic forum.
Thanks for choosing H.C.M.Forum.
There was a red rash on your right leg, followed by swelling of the right ankle, and foot.no pain on walking, and decrease on rest. Used rubificients for pain relief.
It appears to be the filarial infection, caused by wochereria bancrofty worms in lymph nodes. the larva of these worms in blood called microfilaria causes these changes, and some times fever.Though it is fine now it will recur in 2 days.
i advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have mid night blood smear test for micro filaria done besides other routine tests for confirmation.
The medicine D.E.C.should be used for 20 days and repeated again for 20 days, after a gap of one month for complete cure.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
Best regards.
