Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
There are certain criteria which are used to determine whether imaging studies like a CT scan
are necessary after minor head injury
The criteria for CT after minor injury are: (1)headache (2) vomiting
(3) age over 60 (4) drug or alcohol intoxication
(5) loss of short term memory (6) seizures (7) visible injury or trauma above the clavicle
The CT is done in these cases to rule out any serious damage to the brain.
If you are not experiencing any of the above or do not fit any of the criteria then you can consider waiting till your appointment but reschedule for earlier if your symptoms persist or worsen.
If you do fit one or more of the criteria then you can consider seeing your doctor sooner than scheduled.
I hope this helps
