Have Stomach Palpitations, Constipation, Diarrhea. Is It Ibs? Treatment?

hi , I have stomach palpitations, un der my right rib, some times I am constipated, sometimes I eat and I get diararrea, right away , is this considered ibs. and another question I always breck out in hoives, almost everyday, I do eat bread everyday, , should I stoop the bread and c if that is what is causeing me to breck out?

Well we can not conclude that you are having IBS without ruling out the possibility that you might be suffering from another cause of recurrent diarrhea and constipation (alternating each time). The symptoms are typical of IBS but confirming IBS needs ruling out of other possible causes such as infection (salmonellosis, protozoa, bacteria, fungi etc), intolerance to certain food types (like lactose, fructose etc), dyspepsia etc. These other causes can be ruled out by your doctor who will be able to examine you, conduct some specific tests and if he confirms any will provide with specific medications. If he is unable to confirm any of the other causes, then IBS is the most likely cause.
You may stop eating bread for a few days to see if your problem is related to the bread (as one of the contents of the bread could be responsible-intolerance). Having hives, mean you have some kind of allergy and that needs to be confirmed too by your doctor.
