hi
You seem to have developed a flare up of post partum acne.
Postpartum or postnatal acne is quite common due to hormonal fluctuation.
Postpartum or postnatal acne is quite common due to hormonal fluctuation. Sebaceous glands produce sebum for lubrication of hair follicles and works as antibacterial agent, but they are susceptible to fluctuating hormones and triggered to produce excessive sebum. The uncontrolled production of sebum leads to acne small bumps that form into pimples, papules and pustules.

Before coming to the exact treatment, i would like you to follow certain precautions:
1. Avoid using any oily creams or lotions over face as much as possible. you can however use oil free moisturisers

2. Wash your face frequently inorder to keep it dry

3. Drink plenty of water

4. Try to avoid eating dry fruits

5.Avoid touching or squeezing of pimples

6. Avoid Hair oil

7. Always use a sunscreen (SPF> 26) when going out in the sun

Now ,although there are various topical and systemic agents available for treatment of acne,,we have to be very cautious during pregnancy and lactation
I would advise you to use Clindamycin gel in the morning over the affected areas along with benzoyl peroxide gel at night

Hope it helps

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Lactation is a contraindication for powerful drugs like tretinoin.
Hormonal influences of the situation will perpetuate the problem
Cleanliness, protection from sun and simple measures alone are safe and should be continued...

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
