Have rectal bleeding and digestion problems. Prescribed with ranitidine and darolac-z. Right medication?

My doctor suggested I take Ratinidine and I think Darolac-Z i have been having digestion problems in India. I am not sure if its Daraloc-Z or another drug that sounds similar. I am in an area without any phone service and don t know what to do. I have been having rectal bleeding for the past 6-7 days, bowel movements once a day.

Hi,

You should do at first stool analysis and occult blood in the stool to know is it fresh or old blood? then you can seek advice from the nearest doctor to examine you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist

I went to our local ER 1 week ago today. Had rectal bleeding burgundy looking blood. Had had for 2 days but never thought about it till that day. Have had distention and some nausea. Went to Fayettville VA clinic a week earlier where the doctor was seeing me for Gastroperesis. He had put me on Phillips colon health probiotics and told me that I should take twice a day. That is the only thing new that I am aware of. My meds for Gastroperesis is Miralax, Linzess, Simethacone, Phillips colon health probiotics. I have had abdominal pain to right of belly button and a lot of lower back pain. Did a CT of abdomen and hgb which was fine per doctor. HGB was 13. I left that night due to a talk to be given by me early next morning. Abdominal surgeries are TVH still have ovaries, gall bladder removed and Gastric bypass 6 years ago without problems. Last colonoscopy about 4 years ago, next one due 2019. Was a poor prep. Have IBS since 1985, diverticulosis, colon polyps, Reflux and Hiatal hernia. I think? that is it.
