Have Pneumonia. Taken To Emergency. On Augmentin And Zithromax. Fever Should Last For?

Hi. I have pneumonia and I was brought to the Er 3 days ago. After an xray the doctor sent me home with a prescription of augmentin and zithromax for my pneumonia. I fell better now after 3 days but I still have fever and cough. I am also taking fluimucil and I cough really hard it hurts my throat. Is this fine? How long should my fever last and when will I be fine? Im getting married next week. Help. Thanks.

Hello
Persistence of cough and fever even after three days is normal as it takes 10 to 14 days for complete resolution of your symptoms.
Keep on taking your medicines regularly and avoid cold and chilled drinks.
There is nothing more which can be done to speed up the resolution of pneumonia.
Thanks
