Have Persistent Dry Cough. On BenecarHCT. Low Urine Output, Tired. Previously On DiovanHCT. Treatment?

Hi, my wife is on BenecarHCT and has been experiencing a persistent dry cough. She also has complained about low urine output and does complain about being tired. Tiredness is especially noticeable after she plays a round of golf. This tiredness is more a feeling of exhaustion. Her blood pressure is quite well controlled by the BenecarHCT. She was previously on DiovanHCT and was experiencing a cough at that time. The BenecarHCT seems to be more effective in keeping her blood pressure in control.

Welcome to HCM.
BenecarHCT contains Hydrochlorothiazide and olmesartan is a combination medicine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
If your urine out put is low than you have to be conscious about this drug.Go for CBC,RBS,S.creatinine,BL.urea,S.electrolyte and consult your doctor to review this.
Tiredness might be due to generalized weakness.
Take haemitinics,b12,calcium supplement.
Persistent dry cough might be due to some allergic reason.Watch for eosinophilia,chest x-ray(pa view) and start levocetrizine.
