Have painful, itchy bumps on scrotum with red, purple tip. Had started as rash. What is it?

I have painful bumps on my scrotum that started as a rash, but then ended up with fours bumps on scrotum that are itchy and painful. Two of them have a dark red and purple tip to them. I shave my scrotum every now and then and when the hair starts to grow back it itches and scratch it at times. What do you think this is?

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. I believe that you are are having a problem that does not need medical attention. When the hair that you shave starts to grow back it is normal for it to start pricking on the sensitive scrotal skin and itch to make you scratch the area. This can be prevented by keeping the area dry and clean with a powder such as povidone, etc. I also think that rash is related to the hygiene in the area. Please see a dermatologist for advise if this advise does not helpful.

I hope this helps however. Take care and have a lovely day!
