Have Occasional Sensations Around My Heart. Is It Normal?

I have occasional sensations around my heart , almost as if something inside is brushing past it, and the feeling of either skipping or half skipping a beat. My heart beat dosen t usually seem the increase, but the feeling of my heart beat gets more weighty, as if it is pumping more heavily, but not at noticeably increased speed. I m a healthy 25 year old man with no previous heart complaints, I m 6ft 2 and weigh roughly 12 1/2 stone . It isn t at all painful, in fact it can almost feel pleasant as the sensation is unusual. It only happens when I am at rest, but has happened standing, sitting and lying down. I m not too worried, but concerned that it should be something I should talk to my local GP about. Thanks

Hello lewisbrennan
Your weight for height seems good. Since your complain is occasional it is difficult to comment without examining you.
But since you havnt complained about palpitation, i think there is nothing serious to worry about. These kind of complains are unexplained and common among athletes or with people during regular cardio exercises.
It is always better to do blood work up for cholesterol (Lipid profile) and get electrocardiogram and consult a physician/cardiologist.
Thanks
Bye
