Have Numbness, Pain On Left Arm, Cold Chill. Readings Show High BP. What Could Be This?

My sister has been complaining of numbness and pain on left arm. Started in the morning and escalated fast. Called EMS and they said it was high blood pressure(not a heart attack and not a stroke), she wasn t able to tell me how high her blood pressure was. She has also complained of cold chill, but that went away but still complains of arm pain (cant even move it) So if its not a heart attack or stroke what else can it be.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms can be attributed to Hypertensive neuropathy.
It occurs due to damage to nerves due to increased blood pressure.
The symptoms can be relieved by controlling the blood pressure levels.
So, kindly consult your General Physician & start the treatment.
Also get certain investigations like complete blood count, estimation of serum electrolytes, blood glucose level & thyroid profile to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.

There is no need to worry, your sister will be fine.
Wishing her a good health.
Take care.
