Have Multiple Health Issues. Can Any Online Doctor Help?

I have some herniated L-S discs & C-S discs from w/c & past MVA injuries. I have recently had an MRI of the Lumbar spine , but do not have the results; however, I am having interference with control of bladder & bowel in the past year. I am a 58 yof, hx of hyst at 32 yo. I am also a retired R.N., I have had neuropathy syxs from disc problems. I also have migraines daily. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome in the 80 s....I have wondered whether or not I also have fibromyalgia, due to the extreme aches and pains I feel all over my body, without doing anything. I found the 18 points on your body which if you supposedly are tender in 12 of these, you likely have fibromyalgia....I passed this test in flying colors!!! Do I just need to get my MD to give me this test as well, I have been denied disability, 4 times, but it is in pending status, now. I have begun to have seizures again, as well, due to previous head injuries. My depression is worsening, & I have hx of suicide attempts. My family is helping me pay for the medical diagnostic testing, and the MD visit to submit this eval to disability. I take about 1200mg of ibuprofen daily for pain...since I have had my right hip replaced in 2007...it is not one on the recall list, but is giving me lots of pain! My left hip is very painful due to end-stage DJD. I am hoping for another dx that I can add to my list, that will make my case go thru for disability this time! Thanks so much for your time and attention...God bless you! YYYY@YYYY

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
You are suffering from a number of disease processes.
The fibromyalgia has to be managed by controlling the symptoms eg by taking pain killers.

The spinal MRI has shown that there is disc herniation at the level of lumbar and sacral nerve root levels.
Herniation of discs compresses the nerve roots and produces symptoms pertaining to the organ or the dermatome supplied by that particular nerve root.
The bladder control is both voluntary as well as involuntary.
The involuntary control is mediated by sympathetic nerve roots - S1, S2 and S3.
Since the bladder is supplied by the sacral nerve roots, tere is some interference with the bladder control.
Similarly, the bowel is also controlled in the similar manner.

It is important to manage the spinal problem.
Herniation of the disc is managed by complete bed rest.
In case, the symptoms are not relieved by rest alone, surgical resection of the herniated disc is required.

Consult your neurologist with the MRI report for further management.

Thanks and take care
