Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.

Your symptoms are suggestive of transient global amnesia (TGA).

In this condition, blood supply to a part of brain is reduced for some time (during which you have memory loss) and then it recovers in a few minutes to a few hours.

Common risk factors for this problem include high BP, diabetes, high cholesterol, smoking, etc.

MRI with MR angiogram brain is also helpful in deciding the severity of problem.

Treatment includes medicines such as aspirin.

A neurologist can help with investigations and treatment.

Best wishes,
