Have Lump Inside Elbow And Feels Tight. Have Hard Nodules In Palm Of Same Hand. Cure?

I have a lump in the inside of my elbow just below the creases in the inner arm - right side. It is well formed and a little larger than a quarter in diameter, It is not particularly painful but my arm feels tight. I also have hard nodules in the palm of the same hand (I believe to be Dequervains (sp?)) but they are not symptomatic at this time. Thoughts?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

Probably you are having rheumatoid nodules.

They are firm lump located under the skin near joints.

About 30 percent patients of rheumatoid arthritis are having rheumatoid nodules.

They are connected to fascia or tendons.

Rheumatoid nodules may be increased in size by methotraxate used for R A.

Avoid smoking, as smoking can increase rheumatoid nodules.

Injection of steroid in nodule may shrink the size.

Or surgical excision may be done.

You consult either dermatologist or surgeon.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
