Yes, it is true. There is definitely a big problem in conceiving by a PCOS patient and  also the The risk for miscarriage is high.
The risk of miscarriage in a woman with PCOS starts at about 45%. With each successive week of pregnancy, that number drops until 8 weeks, when it goes down considerably, then again at 12 weeks, when it drops to 5% like everyone else.
However if you are under the advise and care of a good doctor, one can support the pregnancy with proper diet, proper exercises and proper control of sugar levels along  with medications like METFORMINM and PROGESTERONE.
You must definitely go for pregnancy as you are already in your 30's and with each successive year, your ovarian reserve gets dwindled and there is continuously increasing difficulty in conceiving.
Start preparing for your pregnancy and biggest help can be achieved by doing regular aerobic exercises and shedding of your weight.
It is said that a mere reduction of 10% of your weight shall make your periods regular and help in achieving your pregnancy.
