i consulted gynaco regarding ma irregular periods..ma periods was missed ot for 5months nd moreover ma date was never contant..so doc said me to go for a throid nd scanning test...d results were thyroid - negative nd scanning- pcos ovaries... doc prescribed me to consume meprate i ve inished d dose almost 7days bfr..so probably when can i xpect ma periods...last bt nt d least i m consuming ovacare tab too ...i m quiet tensed with ma periods

Welcome to HCM,

You have PCOS , which will cause irregular periods. As you have been prescribed with metformin, it will take some time to regularize. You can also discuss with your doctor about oral contraceptive pills which will help in regularizing your periods.

I advise you to Bring in some lifestyle changes,
Eat healthy nutritious balanced diet which should include fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.
Avoid stress and practice relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation
Maintain a healthy weight
To increase the chances of conception have alternate day unprotected sex between the 10th and 20th day of your cycle.
Have patience, stick to your treatment plan and go for regular follow up.
