Have Intense Cough With Occasional Voice Lost And Sore Stomach Muscle. Should I Visit Physician?

I had the flu last week. (6 days ago). I have since developed a really intense cough, along with occasional voice lost. Mucinex Dm seemed to help until today. I woke up this morning with sore stomach muscles and have coughed hard enough to not be able to catch my breath. Is it time to go to the doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
No doubt you were a patient of flu 6 days back .
These symptoms ( cough , breathlessness) may be due to after effect of cold or flu.
In my opinion you have allergy to some allergen as mite, dust , pollen , mold , smokes , humid atmosphere because you are having cough and breathlessness.
When such patient visit in my clinic I advise them to take salbutamol syrup with detromethorpan + chlorampheniramine maleate syrup . As this is a prescription drugs so please consult a physician and get his opinion.
As far as concerned about pain in the stomach ,it may be due to hyper acidity ( gastritis) caused by flu or drugs used for flu . You can take antacid or some pantaloc- D tablets according to need.
Good luck.
