Have Insulin Dependent Diabetes, Plaque Psoriasis, Lymphedema. Localized Pain And Swelling In Leg. Recommendations?

I am an insulin-dependent diabetic with lower leg problems: plaque psoriasis and lymphedema. For the last couple of weeks, I have had localized pain and swelling on the outer part of one leg. My doctor recommended a dermatologist and I started Bactrim therapy. It hasn't helped. I do not think a skin doctor is whom I need. I think I may have an engorged vein or something else. What kind of specialist would you recommend?
