Have High Levels Of TSH. Prescribed Thyronorm. Have Excessive Hair Fall. Due To Medicine?
I am 25 yrs old. I was recently diagnosed with high level of TSH. But T3 and T4 levels are normal. We did 3 tests at different labs to confirm.
I was advised to take Thyronorm 25 mcg. Been taking it for 3 weeks now but i am noticing excessive hair fall (more than before). i am assuming it is because i am taking Thyronorm?? If yes, how to stop it?

THE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS OF THROXINE MIGHT BE RANGED FROM MILD TO SEVERE EFFECTS.
1. INCREASED SWEATING.
2. SENSITIVITY TO HEAT
3. DIARRHEA
4. SHAKING
IT CAN ALSO CAUSE MOOD CHANGES SUCH AS ANXIETY, NERVOUSNESS, IRRITABILITY AND ADDITIONALLY IT MIGHT CAUSE HEADACHES, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, MUSCLE CRAMPS OR WEAKNESS WITH TROUBLE IN SLEEP.

As per ayurveda, Thyroid hormone fluctuation is due to imbalance in the level of Pitta Dosha, which is one of the basic element present in our body. Hormone Replacement Therapy which you re presently taking is not a permanent cure and many times patient experience some or other complaints along with it.
To balance this Pitta dosha I would advice you to undergo Virechan, an ayurvedic procedure which comes under Ayurvedic speciality known as Panchakarama, does internal cleansing and also balances the Pitta.
