Have High BP, Heart Beat Rate And Heart Burning. No Medication Till Now. What Should Be Done?

Hello: I am 64 years of age and while visiting my 90 year old mother today I had the nurse check my blood pressure and heart beat. Blood Pressure was higher than usual 153 over 84 and heart beat was 103. I was sitting and had not been active when I was checked. I have also had a lot of hearburn lately which I have never had in my life. The nurse said the heart beat was too high. My mother had by pass surgery years ago when she was living but until now I've always had good pressure and still have good chlorestrol. What is your opinion please.
Thanks

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Your heart rate and systolic pressure (upper figure) are high.
Repeat the measurements a few times.
If persistently high, see a doctor... EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
