Have Herniated L6 With Sciatic Imflammation And Leg Numbness, Causing Excruciating Pain, Prescribed Naproxen. Cure?

i have a herniated l6 for 12 years now with the accompianing sciatic imflammation and leg numbness on my right. this morning my pain has become so bad that my right arm movement and walking or any torso movement is causing excruciating pain. i am only prescribed 500 mg naproxen which had done little to alleviate my pain. i can barely walk. please let me know what i can do beyond ice/heat to help

The symptoms that you are having are likely to be related to a degenerative disc disease. The nerve compression is caused by the bulging discs on the roots causing the shooting pain.
