General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi Martin ! Most often the ultrasound result shows fatty liver, which is not to be worried about. However, one has to go for a liver function test, and abstain from alcoholic beverages, apart from avoiding fast fried food. You should go for regular exercises and lot of roughage diet with enough liquids. Hernia is not related to fatty liver, and its treatment is surgical for which you will have to consult a surgeon. Good luck.
