Have Hair Loss. On Xtin Plus. Are There Any Side Effects?
hi, i m 24 yrs old and my name is ravi . i m suffering from hair loss my doctor given me xtin plus(biotin 5mg +finasteride 1mg).i want to know its side effect and also know its effect...its gud 4 hair loss bcoz i used many medicine for my hair but did not get any profit. Is any effect on hair due to less of vitamin B12 (its 94>) or D3.

Biotin is a vitamin required for hair and its deficiency can cause hair loss.
Finasteride is a US FDA approved medicine for male pattern baldness. Finasteride prevents conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone(DHT) at the level of hair follicles thereby saving the hair from falling because of DHT as these hairs are very sensitive to DHT and this sensitivity is in your genes.
Biotin can cause gastritis in some. Finasteride works very well. Side effects mentioned are decreased libido, impotence, low ejaculate quantity, Gynecomastia etc. But the incidence of these side effects are very less and even if you get these side effects, they are reversible on stopping treatment.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause hair fall
Vitamin D3 can help in hair fall as it reduces DHT.
