Have Gained Weight Due To A Side Effect Of A Medicine Which Was Prescribed Earlier. What To Do For Loosing The Weight?

I, back in 1981 and 1984 was prescribed Tryptan,Halcion and Penta 3B, separately by a psychiatrist for depression. One of these had the side effect of ballooning my weight and once this was recognized the drug was stopped immediately however I don t remember which one caused the problem. I have never lost the excess weight. I have just been referred to a dietician by my new nefrologist and I feel it is important to tell him about this situation. Your help would be very much appreciated. Paul Lepri.

Hi Welcome to Health care magic forum.
You was using the tablets, and had obasity, In spite of stopping it you did not get relief of the weight. Means it is not due to that tablet, but due to the food habits, and sedantary life.
You can consult a dietitisian, tell you have used some tablets, and follow his instructions.
Minimise the sleeping hours, and avoid day time sleep. Practice yoga, and morning walk.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts and
protein rich food to help you come down in weight.
Wising for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
