Hi and thanks for the query,
fibroids especially when very big can be responsible for heavy bleeding in women. Pain, heavy bleeding, compression of near by organs are usually indications of surgery in fibroids. Left untreated, complications like severe anemia or obstructive symptoms, from urinary, intestinal or vascular symptoms might start occurring and can be fatal. Consulting a gynecologist for an appropriate clinical appraisal and management are advisable.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
