Have Fever, Cold. Right Medication?

my eight month old grandson has a fever of 101. My daughter-in-law says he's had a slight cold-what to do. It's late at night. We all live together. I told her and my son to take his temperature again in half-an-hour. My daughter in law thinks a short walk we took with the baby this afternoon (he seemed ok) may have something to do with his fever. The weather was a bit cool, but he was dressed appropriately.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi,

the child may have a viral infection, it is not from the temperatures that a child has fever.

Monitor his temperature, and give him acetaminophen according the prescription of the doctor and give him oral liquids.
