Have Dissolvable Bloody Stitches Around Ears, Along Hairline. What Is The Best Way To Clean The Stitches?

I have dissolvable bloody stitches around my ears and along my hairline from a face and neck lift. I have been applying neosporin on top of the stitches per instructions but was wondering how best to clean the stitches to prevent infection and will too much neosporin cause sutures to dissolve. Big surgery and want to prevent infection. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Stitches taken are self dissolving, will be dissolved gradually.
Neosporin has no action on dissolving the stitches.
Clean the stitches site with antiseptic lotion like Betadine properly and then apply thin layer of neosporin on it.
Do not put more cream on it.
Ok and take care.
