Hello,
According to the new guidelines, the decision to perform CABG must be based on symptoms, left ventricular function, and severity of coronary disease and specific contraindications for a
bypass surgery include
1... Absence of a viable myocardium in the area supplied by stenosed
artery.
2... Presence of coexisting severe noncardiac conditions with a poor prognosis.
These are just the guidelines otherwise this decision should be left on your cardiologist.
Discuss with your doctor about the pros and cons.
Thanks
