Have Depression. Anxiety, IBS. Taking Libotryp, Librax, Prodep, Pain Killers. Sufficient?

I have been taking libotryp 1 tab HS and librax 1tab morning and prodep 1tab 20 mg for about four years,
Earlier problem was sever stomach ache, not curable by any pain reliever, but only fortwin, phenargan injection, after getting up, everything used to all right. All tests, biochemistry, scans endoscopy and enteroscopy, biopsy and pet-CT were normal, so diagnosed as anxiety induced bowel syndrome, Along with, depression also was the cause, All due to work pressure. Now I am retired and want to leave these medicines is it all right to take two tablets of librax; in the initial stage and later one tab of librax and then only prodep.. Kindly advise from Dr S C DATTA

The gradual tapering shall be good under direct supervision of a physician, who may assess your depression level.
IBS is anxiety related in absence of negative investigations.
Since you know the cause only you can reason out to avoid your depression in positive thinking and gradually disengaging from drug dependency, a lot depends on the will to fight and overcome all causes of depression ,mostly it is hidden fear of something, job stress etc.
Anti-anxiety is some times continued as it lowers serotonin levels in brain tissue and some individuals have higher secretions endogenously and prolonged high levels produce symptoms
