Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Having alternating periods of "mania" and "depression" can be indicative of a Bipolar disorder. However, there can also be other possible psychological causes for such mood fluctuations, like certain types of personality disorders, etc.

A detailed history and psychological assessment is required to make a definitive diagnosis. ince your problems seem to be causing you a lot of distress, I would suggest that you have a detailed evaluation by a psychiatrist, so that appropriate treatment can be initiated.

Wish you all the best.
