Have Cramps During Periods, Vaginal Pain, Heavy Bleeding, Tiredness, Dizziness. Taking Tylenol. What To Do?

Helllo I am a teenage girl and I have the worst period pains. it is not a cramping pain like I have been trying to tell my Dr. It is a aching dull sometimes sharp pain felt deep in my vagina. I try taking one Tylenol and the pain still keeps me put all night and they are extremely heavy and I get so tired and dizzy and just want to sleep but unable to because of the pain. I would hope over the years it would have lighted, but nothing has changed. Is there any thing I should avoid or try?

Hi,
It seems that you are having Dysmenorrhoea giving rise this problem.
As you are teenager, initially this pain remains for certain time.
You may take Antispasmodic tablet like Dicyclomine with paracetamol when pain is there.
Wait for some time and if there is no improvement then you may require 3-4 hormonal cycle courses to get relief from this problem.
For that you have to consult Gynaec and according to her advice you have to go for treatment.
Ok and take care.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Pain before menstruation & during call as PRIMARY DYSMENORRHEA .
This pain is due to uterine ischemia due to prostaglandin and usually treated with NSAID ( nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) or oral contraceptive.

As you are taking tylenol and still it is not working ,so either change the drug or use 2nd treatment as above mentioned after the consultation Gynaecologist.
Pain deep in vagina may be due to infectious vaginitis.
Consult the doctor and get a treatment according to his advice.
Hope I have answered your question.
If further any question I will help.
Good luck.
Dr. HET
