Have Cough, Sneezing, Fever. Took Sinarest Syrup, Not Helping. Give Me Suggestion

Hello doctor! My 22 months old daughter is suffering from cough, sneezing, running nose and slight fever since yesterday. I have given her three dosages of Sinarest syrup 2.5 ml each. The symptoms have not aggravated but still not reduced. I will not be able to take her to her pediatrician today. Please advise further medication. Thanks.

Welcome to HCM.
Mild fever with coughing, running nose indicates upper respiratory tract infection and most likely viral infection.
You can give paracetamol or mefenamic to subside the fever.
Give levocetrizine syrup to subside running nose and coughing.
It will subside within 3 to 5 days if fever and other symptoms persist then antibiotic is needed under guidance of your pediatrician.
Avoid chocolates, cream biscuits and any flavored drinks.

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. I suggest you to give her syrup chlorpheniramine and syrup paracetamol for now until you take her to pediatrician. Dont worry she will be alright after taking those syrups which I have prescribed. Hope this answers your query. Thank you.
