Have Constipation. Did CT Scan, Cause Had Abdominal Pain, Showed Thickening Of Colon, Advised Colonoscopy. What Is It?

I am a forty four year old female I am not over weight I exercise regularly but recently I have been constipated no matter how much fiber I eat. I recently had a CT scan of my abdomen due to pain in my upper left side just below the rid cage and the back area. The scan showed thickening of the colon. My doctor scheduled me for a colonoscopy. Any idea what could be going on?

Hi,
As CT scan reveals thickening of colon, requires more investigations.
Go for Colonoscopy as your doctor advised.
This will give clear cut idea about thickening.
This will also help to rule out any pathology in colon.
Ok and take care.
