Have Asthma And High Pulse Rate. Normal?

I recently had a physical test in which we all had to wear a belt which would estimate our pulse. Before any warm up or anything I had a 145-150 pulse whilst having done nothing and just sitting down, and the rest had a pulse of 80-100. I have asthma, but is that a reason enough for my resting pulse to be so high? I play sports a lot and it's not really a problem but seeing that made me google and what i found was that i should be worried and go to a doctor about my heart. Can asthma be a big enough reason (i dont have trouble breathing, all i feel about my asthma is that I also have exercise-induced asthma.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Resting rates in this range is high
You need to see a cardiologist

Medicines like Salbutamol and so on, used for asthma may be responsible....
Anaemia / Anxiety / Alcohol / Tobacco (smoking) / Caffeine (too much tea, coffee, cola) / Fever / Infection / Pain / Stress / Thyroid / calcium, magnesium – may all contribute
At times, abnormal nerve paths in the heart (bypass tracts) or disease of the conduction system may be responsible!

See a doctor /get examined / more tests will be needed

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
Good luck
