Have A Spot On The Head Of The Penis. Have Used Vagasil. The Skin On The Penis Dry Out. What Is It?

Yes I have a red shiny looking spot on the head of my penis, right side fairly big. It doesn't hurt but I did notice I thought I had contracted a yeast infection from a woman and used vagasil. In this process I saw skin on the head of my penis start to dry out and the skin peel and flake away. There is no pain or nothing just this huge red shiny spot on the right side of the head of my penis. What is it?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

The description you gave points towards some sort of yeast infection spread from unsafe sex practices. It is not that serious. Dermtologists normally prescribe fluconazole for recovery.

Wash your genital area with warm water and mild soap frrequently. Consult your dermatologist for further advice.

Wish you speedy recovery
