Have A Scratchy Swollen Throat

I had a cold 3 weeks ago. like normal. 4 days ago i started w a scratchy throat and just thought allergies. I had a terrible sore throat. felt like i was swallowing sos pads. I also had some swelling on the right side lymph nodes. Been on keflex for 3 days and better but now I hav a more yellow coat on my toungue. No fever and did not feel bad other than my throat?

I can understand your concern. As you are feeling better rregarding the throat, I would advise you to continue with the decongestant and antihistamine such as Levocetrizine 5 mg for the throat.

However, the yellow coating on the tongue is unrelated to the throat issue and it might be present due to neglected hygiene of the tongue while you were having throat pain.

I would advise you to use tongue cleaner and mouthwash for optimum hygiene of the tongue along with the teeth. However, if tongue cleaner is unable to solve the problem, I would advise you to visit a dentist for clinical examination of the tongue regarding other possible causes such as thrush and treatment.
