Have A Protruding R Collar Bone In Front By Center Of The Neck

I have, what I call, a protruding R collar bone in front by center of neck 2months now. Saw dr last week & he said lipoma and am having ultra sound in 2 days. For about 6months, collar bone sore when I shrug my R shoulder. Question is..are the lipomas supposed to be some kind of bump under skin like a pea or an actual something you can feel because mine feels like a bone sticking out. Has tinges of pain now & then..

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it appears to be an arthritis of the sternoclavicular joint, or a ganglion of the joint. Lipoma may present there but will be smooth, loose in consistancy.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically along with pain medication.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
