Have a bump on edge of lip and causing lip inflamed. Cause for inflammation?

I have a fordyce bump on edge of lip that has become inflamed..not sure if from cold weather and licking my lips . Last night i tried to stick a needle to remove puss but only made it worse. Any suggestions for why it got inflamed and what to do to heal? The orog bump was abot 1/16th in size but swelled up larger for what seemed no reason.

Swelling on the edge of your lip is due to infection.
Please take antibiotic Amoxycillin and clauvulanate and anti inflammatory drug.
It will come down.
