Have A Bump In The Calf. Fell On My Knees. On Crutches. Doing Icing. Now Bump On The Leg. Hurts To Touch. Treatment?
I have a bump on the back of my lower right calf. I am a 20 year old female. I fell on both my knees a couple of weeks ago and have been on crutches for my left knee for a few days until the doctor can read my xrays so I've just been resting and icing my left leg. This morning, I woke up with the bump on my lower right leg. It looks like a lump and is slightly pink and hurts to the touch.
The initial management of the Hematoma is as follows - * Rest to the injured part and don’t involve in activities which causes pain * Ice packing should be applied for about 20 minutes once in every 2 hours * Use elastic compression bandage around the swollen area * Elevation of the limb * Analgesic & anti inflammatory medications like Advil or Aleve
If your symptoms are not resolving with the above measures, consult your treating physician for further management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day

Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. Possibly it could be a soft tissue Hematoma. The initial management of the Hematoma is as follows - * Rest to the injured part and don’t involve in activities which causes pain * Ice packing should be applied for about 20 minutes once in every 2 hours * Use elastic compression bandage around the swollen area * Elevation of the limb * Analgesic & anti inflammatory medications like Advil or Aleve If your symptoms are not resolving with the above measures, consult your treating physician for further management.
