Have PCOS. Taking Metformin. Have menstrual cramps. Can pain killer be taken?

Hi, my name is ELSA ....i am 19 years old and i have pcos ....this is my second month taking metformin and today i have my periods.....but the menstrual pain is terrible ...can i take a pain relief??thank you

Yes, you can take medicine to get relief from pain.
You can take antispasmodics which will decrease the pain.
Continue taking metformin as adviced by your doctor.
If the symptoms of PCOD persist, you can go for contraceptive pills along with metformin.
This can releave future dysmenorrhea.
