Has had cold, teething, cold forehead. What can help?

My son is almost 6 months old, has had a cold or maybe just teething his doctor said, but now the past couple of days he s had a cough and tonight he is cold and clammy to the touch on his head. does this mean inside fever? what should I be doing about it? I know a common cold just ha to run its course, but is that what this is

You should measure his temperature with a thermometer, either under his arm or rectally, as the only fever is "internal" fever, not what you see or feel on the skin. Fever is defined as a temp greater than 100.4 (38C) so you must take his temperature to know. It is likely just a cold but if he truly begins to run fever you should have his doctor take a look at him.
