Has Bowel Difficulties. Took Acidophillis. Pain In Lower Abdomen. Has Nausea And Diarrhea. Advice?

MY 17 year old step son has always had bowel difficulties and took acidophillis for years. About a year ago he had mono. Now he complains of shooting pain in lower right abdominal area. Nausea, frequent diarrhea Fatigue, like 12-14 hours a night and he wants to nap. His symptoms were getting worse with hunger but for past week he hasn't been hungry at all. Chrohn's and IBS ruled out with GI tests. He is having a MRI soon but we are at a lose. DR's can't agree - one said parasites the gluten intolerance. Another says no. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Epigastric pain associated with hunger is mostly caused by Acid peptic disease.
It is by due to gastric or duodenal ulcers.
Do an endoscopy to rule out ulcers.
MRI any reveal any other cause and may be helpful in arriving at a diagnosis.
