Hard Vein In Front Of The Ear Near Jaw Bone Causing Severe Pain. Cure?
i have a vain in front of my ear near the jaw bone and its really hard i have a filling that fell out of my tooth now i need to sleep and clean the food out of the tooth to get rid of the pain and i sometimes wake up with no pain but its hard to get to sleep when it hurts what do you think i should do to stop the pain till i can go to the dentist or hospital
The pain is due to the exposed cavity from which filling fell out. The exposed dentine may be causing severe pain as well as sensitivity. I would advice you to keep a cotton dipped in formocresol solution within the open cavity temporarily which will prevent food lodgement. The tooth has to be restored as soon as possible to prevent further progression of decay or periapical infection. A thorough clinical as well as radiological evaluation of the tooth will help to decide the type of treatment to be undergone. Maintain oral hygiene well. Rinse your mouth after every meals. Take care.
