Hard Lumps Below And In Front Of The Ear, Swollen Jaw. Worried
Hi Dr. Bhatti, Since yesterday I have a hard lump in front of my left ear and another one below the same ear. They are both under the skin and only hurt when i touch them. The lymph nodes on both sides, right under my jaw, might be swollen but I'm not sure. My left temple is also tender to the touch and a little swollen and my throat has just begun to get a little sore. Is there a cause for concern? Thank you for your time.
I read your query regarding lump in front of left ear and another one is below the same ear ( Left Ear ). These lumps are under the skin and are not hurting you, only after touching mild pain is felt. At the same time you are also having swelling in jaw.
As per your symptoms it appears to be lymph node lumps and probably they are here due to inflammation in jaw and sore throat. Other possibility is of parotid lump.
To confirm it you should do-
(1) FNAC from lump.
(2) X-Ray jaw ( orthopantogram ).
After this a thorough clinical examination and co-relation with inferences of investigation will help in making diagnosis, once diagnosed the treatment may be plan.
Regards.
