I have a hard lump under my skin on my left calf . It has gotten larger to the size of a nickel and bluish in color. I also experience numbness in that leg and some tingling offand on. Ive had my derm. Look at it in thepast and she said not to worry..i think she called it a fatty tumor ..but am concerned about the numbness & pain?

Hello. In view of details I agree with your doctor that it can be a lipoma, that is fat containing tumor.Bluish discoloration can be due to overlying blood vessels.Commonly the diagnosis is made by having look at it .Clinical diagnosis is quiet accurate, so you can go by your doctors opinion.A sonography of lesion can help to confirm this.Hope that answers your question.Thank you.
