Hi,

I can understand your concern for the hard lump at the waistline.

There are two possibilities of the hard lump:

1. Lipoma: It is a collection of fatty tissue under the skin.

2. Sebaceous cyst: it is a collection of cheezy material in the over-proliferated oil gland.

Both of the conditions are totaly benign and never turn out to be a serious issue any time in life. The simple treatment is excision of the lump which can be done in few minutes depending on the size.

You can meet either a dermatologist or a surgeon who can guide you for the excsion procedure.

So just relax and enjoy the day!!!

Take care.
