Hi. I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but by the base of the shaft of my penis I have a hard bump and it has been there for at least 6 months. It isn't extremely hard, but not very soft either. It's located under the skin of my sack near where my penis meets my testicles, so it is impossible to see. Any idea what this is? Thrombosed vein maybe?
A hard to firm swelling on the under surface of penile/ scrotal swelling can be due to many reasons. Thrombosed vein is not a possibility as veins are not so superifial so as cause a palpable swelling. A primary skin lesion e.g. wart, skin tag, papilloma, etc can cause such a lesion. What is your sexual history? Certain sexually transmitted diseases like syphilis causes painless ulceration on the genitalia. However, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist and veneralogist for clinical examination, relevant investigations and thus management.
