Hard Bump On Back, Painful, Has Black Solid Material Inside

For t\past 3 years I had a small hard bump on the lower right side or my back (Kinda like t\Princess & the pea, when laying on my back or standing leaning against a firm surface I am always reminded its there). It can be painful but only in as such its hard & digs into my back or i try to pop it. It never seems to come to a head, finally had someone take a sewing need & a pair of tweezers (both soaked in alcohol). After a lot of digging a long black solid material was retrieved that came out as a string with a blood soaked end of the back head of t\snake. I cannot find any lump, bump or any of the cysts that have this type of material inside it.

Dermatologist 's  Response
dear citrix, hello and welcome to health care magic.
Bumps on the back is typical of a sebaceous cyst. a simple way of removing them is by a small surgical technique. cyst is removed intact with minimal sutures. chances of recurrence will be there if cyst not removed completely.
Infection also may occur in cysts that are meddled.
hence kindly visit your nearest surgeon for a review and suggestion.
thank you and take care.
