When I put my fingers into the back of my throat I feel a hard bone like structure behind my Uvula that is long and runs vertically. I have had sinus infection problems for the last few months I don t know if they are connected. Can you please let me know if this is normal or if this is something I should have checked out. Thanks

Hi jazminebahr.

Thanks for your questions.

Probably it is a elongated styloid process which is a normal things and present in some persons and it has no connection with your sinus infection.

But please do visit a ENT specialist to check your throat clinically to reach a definite diagnosis.
