Had Unprotected Sex, Took ECP, Vaginal Bleeding With Abdominal Pain. Normal? STD?
hi i had an unprotected sex 2 days after my last period. we had sex morning on a saturday. since i was worried i took an ECP 3-4hours after. after 2 days we had sex again and the next day i took another ECP. i had a vaginal bleeding for 4days with abdominal pain . After that, there s yellowish vaginal discharges associated with minimal abdominal pain. is this normal or i have some STD that needs to further examine with a specialist. thanks
Hi, Thanks for the query. In case of regular 30 days menstrual cycles, usually ovulation will occur on around 14th to 18th day of the cycle. So the possibility of pregnancy is less in your case. Anyhow as you took two emergency pills in the first half of the cycle, that might have preponed your periods by leading to withdrawal bleeding. But emergency pills usually won't cause yellowish vaginal discharge. If you had associated features like smell, itching etc, there is possibility of vaginal infection. So better to consult gynecologist once and get examined. Both the partners to be treated simultaneously to avoid future cross infections. Better to avoid frequent intake of emergency pills. There should be at least 2 months gap between two pills. Take care.
